About SILLY PEAR
Silly Pear, a.k.a Charlie Nivison, is a Sydney-based artist whose artworks are bold, playful, and colourful. Growing up in a creative household in northwest NSW and studying graphic design in Canberra, Nivison is strongly inspired by music, movies and pop culture. His works have a strong use of colour and appropriate comic book characters for graphic effect; they’re vivid, engaging, and powerful.
Nivison’s process is concept driven and typically begins with working by hand before being completed digitally. As he says, ‘I’ll usually just have an idea or see something that sparks a concept. I then sketch this out ’til I think it’s ready to either draw up onto an object or canvas, or I’ll scan it into my computer and start digitally sketching it up ’til I’m happy with it.’
An obsessive surfer, Nivison would like to ‘paint more murals and public art (as well as) get some bigger barrels!’. In the meantime, however, when he isn’t creating artworks or illustrations he works as a screen printer, predominantly printing bold and graphic illustration and type work upon t-shirts.
Doin it for the love since 08.
COSMIC FATE - BONDI SEAWALL
My artwork titled ‘Cosmic Fate’ is all about how we may have to search for waves on other planets if we continue to treat the ocean and environment the way we currently we do.

About MULGA (Joel Moore)
Mulga is Sydney based artist, Joel Moore, a man with unique style and inspiration. He creates unforgettable artworks of the things he loves to draw; bearded characters, gorillas, lions and magical creatures with laser beam eyes. Originally Mulga worked in economics and finance, until he realised that making art was much more fun.
Having his first art show and launching his art career in early 2012 his creative portfolio to date is an impressive one with over 60 shows under his belt, winner of AS Colours Little Help Project t-shirt design competition, gold at the 2013 Illustrators Australia awards, finalist and peoples choice winner at Hazelhurst’s 2013 and 2015 Art on Paper prize and his recent work with Red Bull, MTV, Adidas, Microsoft, Schweppes, Mambo, Westfield, Paypal, Oporto, Myer and Virgin mobile.
Mulga is also incredibly clever with words, creating poems that sit alongside his art, adding even more depth and intrigue to his already engaging work. He is currently celebrating the release of his magical colouring book and working on a children’s book in between designing t shirts, painting murals and running the Mulga clothing label.
Mulga enjoys writing a weird poem for every one of his creations because who doesn’t like a weird poem and he reckons it’s a neato way to make people smile.

“The red and yellow flags, the aqua waters, the summer vibes and
the pink celebratory dolphins. It’s what Bondi’s all about and I like it.”
An iconic backdrop to the beach, this Bondi mural and Mulga’s
vibrant style are a part of local art culture.
